The Garden

A feature of the property unmissable in the Spring, the garden is merely lush, spacious and beautiful as a typical country cottage garden throughout the rest of the year.

Providing a perfect setting for this attractive detached slate and granite former Coach House, built in the 1800s, the wisteria-hung frontage leads around to 2 acres of private grounds comprising manicured rose garden, herbaceous borders, a large orchard, lawn and path leading to beautiful bluebell woodland.

The garden is an excellent place for children to discover and run, and a great exploration spot for the odd Dalmation to explore (as the pictures suggest!).

The path up the garden leads to the back stone wall, beyond which the path leads you through the wood, out on to the open fields and up to the nearest Tor, providing 360 views of the surrounding hills. A refreshing but comfortable half hour's stroll (great on a winter's morning with the odd Dalmation, I found, to work up an appetitie for a hot brunch...).
